When you link layers together some of the things you do to one layer will also be applied to the layers that are linked to it. You can link as many layers together as you want. To link layers together you need to click in the empty box to the left of the layer's name, purple arrows. When you do link icons will appear in the boxes. Below I have three layers linked together. A type layer (WOODY), a layer named frame and a layer named picture.

One of the things I can't do since my layers are linked to a font layer is I can't change the perspective. In order to do that I need to unlink the font layer. To do that click the link so it disappears, see red outline. Now I can change the perspective of the frame and picture layer.

But I really wanted to be able to change the perspective of the font layer with the other two layers. So click on your font layer and in the menu bar choose Layer>Rasterize>Type.

Now perspective is no longer greyed out so I can link the type layer with the frame and picture layers and choose Edit>Transform>Perspective. And here are all three layers with their perspective changed at the same time...

To link layers in Photoshop CS3 (10) first click on a layer. Then while holding the command key (Mac), alt key (PC), click on the other layers you'd like to link with this layer. When you do you'll see the link button at the bottom of the layers palette becomes available. Click the link button and the selected layers are now linked together. Or after you've selected the layers you can instead click in the top right corner of the layers palette and choose Link Layers.
