Selecting Dual Brush in your Brushes palette lets you combine two Brush Tip Shapes to make a new brush.

With the brush tool as your selected tool go to your Brushes palette and click on Brush Tip Shape. Now click down on your first brush.

Click on the words Dual Brush. The box next to it will automatically get checked. Now click down on your second brush.

To save this new brush click the Create new brush button. Name your new brush in the Brush Name window then click OK.

To find your new brush click on Brush Presets in the Brushes palette. Your new brush will be the last one. You can also go to the options bar and click on the brush that's showing. Your new brush will be the last one here as well.
