I hate when they do this. Disney did it and it took me forever to get Toy Story 2. Anyway, if you were thinking of getting any of the Harry Potter movies on dvd and/or blu-ray you will have until December 29th to do so. At that time Warner Bros. will remove Harry Potter dvds and blu-ray discs from the shelves.

This is completely stupid. Why pull it from the shelves- many, MANY people love Harry Potter and it will be continuously sold. Doing this will just piss people off like crazy.
And, I absolutely hate it when Disney does that. It makes me go berserk.

I agree. I don't think people will ever stop buying Harry Potter so why stop selling it. Plus they're going to be removing them so soon after the complete set and Deathly Hallows 2 came out. Now I realize Warner will be offering some master collector's set eventually but when. Next year? In two years? What are people to do in the meantime???

Taking Harry Potter away might actually increase illegal downloading. I was thinking about it, and it's an easy option for those who don't have any access to their favorite movie.

Found this on Disney's Vault. Has a good explanation about why they do such things. As far as Harry Potter. I'm just sad to see another company following in Disney's footsteps.

Just thought I'd mention. If anyone is interested in getting the Harry Potter Complete Set (1-7) on blu-ray, it doesn't include the deleted scenes from the two Deathly Hallows movies. Not sure why Warner decided not to include them since they did for some of the other movies in the set.

These were suppose to be removed from stores last month but I continue seeing Harry Potter dvds and blu-ray in Best Buy.

Did they release anything about changing their minds, perhaps?

Oh I don't know. That would be cool if they did.
